BSHS: Spring Charity Week                                                             

    March 17 - 20, 2008 

Different activities took place everyday:

Stop the MUSIC!!!
Before and after school, between classes and at lunch...Teachers were given an envelope to collect money in order to put a stop to playing an undesirable song? before, between and after classes. Money was sent to Mrs. Peden (E-12) at the beginning of 4th block everyday.
 
Coin War:
During lunch... The coins were part of the Spirit Stick points for the students.
This was the last chance for Seniors to get the Spirit Stick back before graduation.
Pennies counted as positive, silver coins and dollars counted as negative. Ex: Seniors put pennies in their jar and dollars and silver coins in Junior and Sophomore jars.
Mr. BSHS Legs :               CONGRATULATIONS MR. CROSS!!!!
During  lunch...Male faculty and stuff members had a picture of their legs placed on a jar. (Below the knee) Students voted on their favorite legs by placing money in the jar. The legs that raised more money by the end of the week won the Mr. Legs contest. This was a voluntary activity


 

Other charity week activities:

Monday:
First Block Day -$75 per class or $3 a person for smaller classes-
Money sent to Mrs. Peden at the beginning of class.
Ice cream at Lunch (Sophomores got a free scoop of ice cream for winning the spirit stick) All others paid $2 a scoop.
Tuesday:
Second Block Day.
The photographer was here to make Senior cap and gown pictures from 7:30-3:30. Second block was a great time to do this.
Wednesday:
Third Block Day.
Thursday:
Fourth Block Day.

Pie in the face... $5 faculty and $10 for administrators. Students were given a chance to throw a pie in a teacher's or administrator's face. This activity took place in 4 block. If a class paid for a free day, they reported to the stadium.
This was a voluntary event.

American Heart Association
American Cancer "Relay for Life"
Storm Eye Institute
Cystic Fibrosis
Clint Johnson's Family
