Textbook
Procedures--General
- Textbooks will be issued to
students on the first day of school.
- The state requires damages
and loss of textbooks to be paid by the student. The subject teacher is responsible for
assessing and collecting these monies.
Books will be checked at the end of each nine weeks period.
- Some textbooks will be taken
at the end of first semester and some at the end of the second
semester. However, fees for lost
and damaged books are to be paid as soon as possible regardless of when
the books are collected. No
additional textbooks will be issued until the initially issued textbook
has been paid for or turned in.
- Students who exempt exams
should turn in their books to the teacher prior to leaving. Do not take any books from students
before the exam. You may take books
early if the student exempts and does not have to take the exam.
- Faculty
members are cautioned that many students plan to use their last two days
of absences just before exams. This means that books must be collected
early.
- Arrangements will be made to
collect senior books. See Mr.
Wright.
- Any books or materials of any
kind that are the property of the teacher should be taken on the last of
school.
- All current textbooks,
including the teacher-borrowed or teacher-issued textbooks, should be in the
bookroom by May22. This
includes student copies that you may have at home or in a bookcase in your
classroom.
- Any teacher using a student
textbook as a teacher issued textbook should clearly label it with an
insert or indication saying, “Teacher Copy”.
- Book checks will be done in
every class on the following days:
