The ADEPT Evaluation Model consists of ten Performance Dimensions (PD’s)
They are the following:
A. Long-Range Plan
B. Short-Range Planning of Instruction

I. Managing the Classroom
J. Fulfilling Professional Responsibilities Beyond the Classroom
The ADEPT Evaluation Model consists of the following components:
A. Three member Evaluation TEAM
B. At least 6 classroom observations
C. Three short-range planning interviews
D. One Preliminary Evaluation Conference
E. One Final Evaluation Conference
Each annual contract teacher is assigned a three-member Evaluation TEAM. The makeup of this TEAM will be the (school principal, assistant principal, or curriculum assistant), a teacher in the teaching area or closely related to the teaching area of the teacher being evaluated, and another administrator (school or district). All members of the TEAM must be trained in the ADEPT process to be an evaluator.
Each annual teacher being evaluated will attend an orientation session where they will be given forms for long-range plans and self-evaluation, a calendar with due dates, and an explanation of the ADEPT process with emphasis placed on all the ten Performance Dimensions (PD’s).
By the middle of September, the long-range plan will be due to each TEAM member. It is the annual teacher’s responsibility to send a copy of the long-range plan to each TEAM member.
The period of time between the middle of September and Christmas break is called the Fall Data Collection Period. During this time, several things will occur.
A. The teacher will be observed at least once by each TEAM member (possibly more).
B. Two short-range planning interviews will be conducted at different times by two members of the TEAM.
C. A Preliminary Evaluation Conference will be held with the teacher before Christmas break to give the teacher the results of the preliminary evaluation.
During the Preliminary Evaluation Conference, the teacher will receive write-ups on the ten performance dimensions (PD’s). They will be explained and a rating of competent or needs improvement will be given on each PD. If the teacher receives an overall needs improvement or unsatisfactory, a Remediation and Assistance Plan will be provided. The teacher will have an opportunity during the Spring Data Collection Period to improve the areas rated needs improvement or unsatisfactory.
The period of time between January and April is called the Spring Data Collection Period. During this time, several things will occur:
A. The teacher will be observed at least once by each TEAM member (possibly more).

C. Final Evaluation Conference will be conducted with the teacher after all information is compiled to give the teacher the results.
IV. A Final Evaluation Conference will be conducted with the teacher after all information is compiled to give the teacher the results.
